Why is every cinematic world south of the US border with Mexico over-saturated, blown-out, and high contrast!!!??? ST has been to Central and South America many times. IT LOOKS LIKE EVERYWHERE ELSE: normal color / normal contrast / and highlights are not blown out. Often its applied to movies about people who are poor or in the drug scene. Why is this? Could we call this color correct racism!!!??? North Africa and the Middle East often get a similar treatment. Is war and ‘Terrorism’ also ‘bleach bypass-ish’. Please help ST answer this question…
